Tony Rhorer, MD

Dr. Tony Rhorer is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon turned business developer with a litany of experience in practice management, healthcare facilities, private equity, supply chain, international business, non-profit, public policy, ambulatory surgery centers, rural health, leadership and medical device design/regulatory and go to market strategy. Dr. Rhorer built an internationally recognized orthopaedic trauma program in Scottsdale, Arizona. He designed trauma implants with Smith and Nephew, Globus Orthopaedics, Innovision, and ITS GmbH. He was instrumental in global launches of his designs, and has two decades of med device experience. A recognized leader in his community, Dr. Rhorer was a liaison to the Arizona State Trauma Advisory board, and he was selected by several local professional sports teams to serve as their official fracture surgeon. In 2017, Tony left full time practice to be a managing partner in one of the world’s largest ASC development companies. In addition to de novo domestic development, Dr. Rhorer oversaw the export of the entire business model to the United Kingdom. Tony has served on corporate advisory boards in med device and rural health care. He is actively involved with a leadership program at his alma mater, Duke University, and has served on a nonprofit board with a charity that works in Uganda. A creative writer, Tony has written for television and he enjoys travel writing and fiction. He raises Clydesdale horses in Texas and is a competitive amateur bodybuilder.
