Supriya Sinha, PhD

Supriya Sinha, Ph.D. serves as the Assistant Director, Commercialization Relations at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She joined UT Southwestern in 2019 after almost 3 years with Bios Partners, a local biotech venture fund. Dr. Sinha brings more than 5 years’ experience facilitating the translation of scientific discoveries into patient and commercial benefits. Dr. Sinha has leveraged her Ph.D training as a translator, or liaison, between scientists and non-scientists, communicating effectively about the potential of science. Her roles have included technology commercialization; improving patient outcomes through quality based initiatives; working with disease-specific nonprofits; and biotech and life science investing through venture capital. Dr. Sinha has contributed towards the translation of academic research to the real world and commercialization of scientific innovation so that it can help solve problems and benefit people. She possesses in-depth understanding of both scientific and commercial aspects associated with the life science industry. She is adept in developing strategic partnerships, communicating with entrepreneurs and providing growth direction to new early stage life sciences companies. Dr. Sinha received her Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and M.S in Biotechnology from Sri Ramachandra University.
