Shovan currently leads New Business Initiatives as part of the Corporate Strategy and Transformation team at Health Care Service Corporation. He started his career at L.E.K. Consulting, where he led several commercial due diligences and M&A advisory engagements in life sciences, healthcare, and education. Post that, he joined Abacus, East Africa's largest manufacturer distributor of pharmaceutical products, and a Carlyle Group portfolio company where he led multiple value creation initiatives as Chief of Staff. He also led CEO’s office initiatives at Lightspeed Venture Partners’ portfolio company Healthplix, India's largest electronic health records company and helped build their specialty EHR product. During his MBA, he worked extensively with the Blue Venture Fund to support sourcing and evaluation of deal flow in the devices/diagnostics, AI clinical tools and tech-enabled services. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

He is also a VC Scout in the GoingVC Fellowship Program. GoingVC Partners is the independent investment vehicle founded by the GoingVC Team. The firm is sector agnostic, typically investing in Pre-Seed and Seed Stage deals across the US. As of now, GoingVC Partners does not lead deals, and will target forming syndicates. GoingVC Partners leverages its extensive community and brings in strategic co-investors to provide more value to the startups it invests in.
