Press Release: Health Wildcatters Named ARPA-H Spoke for Investor Catalyst Hub and Customer Experience Hub

Health Wildcatters Named ARPA-H Spoke for Investor Catalyst Hub and Customer Experience Hub

Dallas, TX – January 23, 2024 – Health Wildcatters is happy to announce it has officially been selected by Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) to serve as an Investor Catalyst Hub (IC Hub) and a Customer Experience Hub Spoke (CX Hub). This partnership reflects a commitment to fostering innovation in health science and accelerating the transformation of ideas into market-ready solutions to improve the health of communities.

The Boston-based IC Hub, comprised of 127 Spoke members, is deeply connected within the health and science community at both regional and national levels. Leveraging an extensive network, it aims to provide diverse expertise in health innovation, facilitating investment and the commercialization of groundbreaking ideas to market and improving health outcomes across the Nation. The Dallas based CX Hub located at Pegasus Park, currently comprised of 269 Spoke members, takes a human-centered approach to listening and building trust with communities and using healthcare solutions to improve health outcomes. Spoke members will have the opportunity to network with other spoke members including patients, providers, stakeholders, government partners, and more to provide feedback on ARPA-H initiatives and reach the underrepresented populations.

Out of the combined 396 spokes, at present, only 20 organizations nationally have been chosen to serve as both a Customer-Experience Hub Spoke and an Investor Catalyst Hub Spoke. Health Wildcatters stands out as the sole Texas-based organization entrusted with serving as a Spoke for both Hubs. “We believe Health Wildcatters is currently the first and the only Texas-based organization to be approved to serve as both” said Hubert Zajicek, MD, MBA, Co-Founder and CEO of Health Wildcatters. Being a member of both hubs is reflective of the role Health Wildcatters has successfully played for hundreds of startups for over 10 years of existence, namely connecting innovators with resources, investments, pilots, and mentorship guidance.

"We have a deep conviction around health innovation being a collaborative space," Dr. Zajicek said. "We’re excited to play an enhanced role in that nationally and internationally and to create more cross-connections, collaborations, and innovation with the goal to reduce human suffering."
