Soumya ‘Mia’ is currently a Sr. Medical Liaison in the Hematology/Oncology division of Amgen Inc. and is passionate about mentoring start-ups in Oncology, precision medicine & wearable devices space.

She has 10+ years of experience in healthcare/research, having graduated from UNT Health Science Center with a Ph.D. in Breast Cancer along with a postdoctoral research experience in Drug Discovery & Development at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She won a prestigious fellowship from Dept. of Defense, fully funding her pre-doctoral research on breast cancer molecular signaling. She has previously worked with several start-up companies as well as technology transfer teams.

An avid gamer, she is also interested in exploring adventure sports, cooking and traveling.
