George Mavro

Today, George Mavro is a serial entrepreneur, featured in the Dallas Morning News, HealthcareITNews, and MobiHealthNews. He has also contributed to online articles found on Mashable, INC.com, and Under 30 CEO through his involvement in the Young Entrepreneur Council (YES).

George served as a Lead Product Manager and Chief Marketing Officer to a digital startup that was acquired by a pharmaceutical company in 2018. He performed several roles, including: business development, operations, and marketing. Additionally, he led the branding, UI/UX and customer requirements for the product, specifically focusing his efforts around commercialization.

Prior to his recent acquisition, he launched a startup and created one of the first 1,000 apps in the Apple App Store which gave doctors the ability to communicate with their Spanish speaking patients. Later, the product was licensed by a pharmaceutical company.

George graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) majoring in Biology. He performed research during and after college, co-authoring a publication in The Journal of Mass Spectrometry and completing his thesis around The Structure/Reactivity of Two Selected Antibiotics. Later, George completed The Masters in Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School and Drug and Medical Device Development for SaMD through MIT. In addition to having a strong core background in healthcare and technology, George is also a former Emergency Medicine and Pharmacy Technician.
