Andrew Offer is General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Health Development (SHD), a Dallas, TX based venture capital firm focused on earlier stage, innovative medical device and diagnostics companies. Andrew currently serves on the board of directors for most active SHD portfolio companies including Podimetrics, Mindera Health, Empirical Spine, Potrero Medical, and several others. Prior, Andrew held board directorships with successful companies such as Sight Sciences (Nasdaq: SGHT), Channel MedSystems and Koya Medical in addition to contributing as Chief Financial Officer for multiple portfolio companies. Andrew also serves as an advisor and mentor to other local startups.

Prior to joining SHD, he was a senior analyst and associate at VMG Health, where he performed and managed hundreds of business valuations exclusively in the healthcare industry. Mr. Offer graduated Magna Cum Laude with multiple honors distinctions earning a B.B.A. in Finance from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University. In addition, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2009 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth. Andrew is also a member of the Mid-America Health Investors Network (MHIN).

Andrew lives in Dallas with his wife Heather, twin children Averie and Bentley, and enjoys golf and other outdoor activities in his free time. Born in Chicago, Andrew is a loyal Cubs and Bears fan and tries to catch a game whenever possible.
